Terms of Service

1. Services

Sew That's Shay provides custom handmade clothing, alterations, and related sewing services. All items are made to order based on the specifications you provide at the time of your inquiry. Final pricing is confirmed by Shay after reviewing your order details.

2. Deposits & Payment

• A deposit is required to begin work on any custom order or alteration.
• All deposits are non-refundable. Paying your deposit confirms your spot and authorizes Shay to begin sourcing materials and scheduling your order.
• The remaining balance is due before pickup or before your item is shipped.
• Accepted payment methods: Square (credit/debit card), Zelle, and cash (in-person pickup only).
• Orders will not be released until payment is paid in full.

3. Cancellations & Refunds

• Deposits are non-refundable under any circumstances.
• If you need to cancel your order before work has begun, your deposit will be forfeited but no further charges will apply.
• Once work has begun on your item, no refunds will be issued.
• Custom items are made to your specifications and are final sale — no returns or exchanges.
• If you have a quality concern, you must contact Shay within 48 hours of receiving or picking up your item. Shay will make reasonable corrections at her discretion.

4. Turnaround Times

• Estimated turnaround times are provided at the time of booking and are good-faith estimates, not guarantees.
• Rush and express orders are available for an additional fee and are prioritized in the queue.
• Delays caused by customer-provided inaccurate measurements, late responses to Shay's questions, or material availability are not Shay's responsibility.

5. Pickup & Shipping

• Pickup location and hours are shared after your deposit is received. The address is not published publicly.
• Items not picked up within 14 days of the pickup-ready notification will be subject to a $5/day storage fee.
• Items abandoned after 30 days may be donated or resold without refund.
• Shipping is via USPS Priority Mail. Shay is not responsible for delays or damage caused by the carrier once the item is handed off.
• You are responsible for providing an accurate shipping address. Re-shipping fees apply if a package is returned due to an incorrect address.

6. Measurements & Fit

For custom clothing, you are responsible for providing accurate measurements. Sew That's Shay is not liable for fit issues resulting from incorrect measurements provided by the customer. Minor alterations to correct measurement errors may be offered at Shay's discretion.

7. Photos & Social Media

Shay may photograph finished items and share them on social media for portfolio purposes. If you prefer your items not be shared, please notify Shay in writing at the time of your order.

8. Limitation of Liability

Sew That's Shay's total liability for any claim arising from a purchase is limited to the amount paid for the specific item in question. We are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages.
